Experience Summary
I am a private reading tutor based in Columbus, OH. I can provide multi-sensory reading instruction for your child with dyslexia using the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach. I am new to private tutoring in this field, but have completed the course Teaching Literacy Skills to Students with Dyslexia: The Orton-Gillingham Approach, which was 60 hours of training. I also have support from a multi-sensory reading instructor who is Orton-Gillingham certified and a Fellow-in-Training. She acts as my mentor and supervises my OG practicum. My FBI/BCI background checks are up to date from the state of Ohio, and I have reliable transportation. I can arrange to work at your home, your child's school, or a public location like a library. I am happy to provide references upon request. I teach 45-60 minute lessons, and my experience is with elementary aged students.
