Experience Summary
I have taught English, Literature, and Creative Writing at Yale, Northern VA Community College, Widener University, Philadelphia's Center for Literacy, the University of Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati's Learning Assistance Center, the School for Creative and Performing Arts (K-12), and I have successfully advised 9 Critical Language Scholarships, 2 Fulbright research grants, 10 Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships, 2 Boren Awards, 1 Truman Scholarship for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation, 1 National Science Foundation Woman of the Year grant, and dozens of graduate and law school applications.
Teaching Style
I believe learning should be as stress-free as possible. I am very calm and "laid-back" seems to appear regularly in my students' end-of-semester evaluations.
My Hobbies
I teach AntiGravity in SLC (Google it! It's flying yoga!), and I love it. I teach beginners, as well as a high-energy fitness class and a meditative stretch & release class. Eventually, I hope to work with children who have sensory processing and integration disorders.
