Experience Summary
I am a physician that enjoys teaching the medical sciences. I have been teaching for the last 5 years at Sanford-Brown College and as the Program Director for the Cardiovascular Sonography Program. I teach students from different Allied Health programs; Anatomy and Physiology as well as Biology, Pathology and Ultrasound physics for students trying to pass the ARDMS registry. I am registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and a Vascular Sonographer as well. I teach all the modalities under ultrasound including cardiac, vascular, abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology and small parts.
Teaching Style
I strongly believe and it is my experience that understanding the subject instead of memorizing it is the only way to retain for long term.
Other Comments
Medicine is complex and at times complicated but if taught well can be fascinating and actually fun.
