Experience Summary
I have years of experience teaching second through six grade students. I am competent to work with elementary and high school student due to this experience, as well as, my masters’ degrees in special education and psychology. My undergraduate degrees are in History and Psychology.
I can tutor an array of elementary core subjects and high school Psychology and American/European History. I am trained to teach a diverse inclusive student population, such as, those students with ADHD and Aspergers/Autism.
Teaching Style
I am a dedicated, conscientious and passionate educator. As a lifelong learner, I am intent on providing opportunities to others in order to have them be able to reach their own full potential and feel successful in doing so. I strive to promote a positive learning environment and provide a safe, comfortable learning experience. When my students show progress and growth, I celebrate as I believe this is a reflection of their hard work and commitment.
I am very patient, reliable and emotionally vested in the progress of each student I tutor. I hold myself to a high standard and want the best for each of my students. I believe it is important for students to recognize this is a collaborative effort where I provide necessary skills and the student is accountable for producing quality work.
My Hobbies
I enjoy reading, writing, baking, sewing, knitting, raising Siberian cats
