Experience Summary

I tutored many students throughout high school. I tutored in basic and AP Chemistry, Algebra 2 and Trigonometry, and Calculus. I was a teacher's assistant in Chemistry my senior year of high school. I also worked with students on test preparation. This included working through preparation problems for the ACT and helping them acquire better study skills. I have almost tutored informally since I have been in college. Many friends and fellow students ask for my help in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology and I work with them on memorization strategies and problem-solving skills. I am patient and willing to work through problems in a variety of ways until something clicks. I have encountered many different learning styles, so I understand that everyone is slightly different in how they learn. I think it is important to adapt to each individual. I am also an older sister, so I have helped both of my younger siblings when they needed help as well. I feel as though I have well-rounded experience. I have tutored people and kids of all ages and am willing to work with many age groups.
