Experience Summary
I have been tutoring steadily for the last 17 years in both Math and Chemistry--privately, for companies, and as an independent contractor. Academic experience has included both GENERAL AND ORGANIC CHEMISTRY instruction at Florida A and M University in Tallahassee. Service has also been provided for 13 years as a Dallas County Community College District CHEMISTRY PROFESSOR in Allied Health Sciences-Nursing (Chemistry 1405 and 1406, which have a GENERAL/ORGANIC/BIOCHEMISTRY emphasis) and GENERAL CHEMISTRY 1 and 2 (1411 and 1412, respectively). This tenure has even included active tutoring in CHEMISTRY under a STEM-administered grant. Additional educational activities have continued to involve many GEOMETRY, ALGEBRA 1 AND 2, PRECALCULUS and CHEMISTRY classrooms within the Richardson and Garland Independent School Districts.
Teaching Style
I begin sessions considering both the student's subject knowledge base and special learning requirements. Therefore, the student sets the pace of instruction. My tactics then involve the consistent assembly of accurate and correctly-ordered Chemical and Mathematical (ALGEBRA, GEOMETRY, TRIGONOMETRY, AND PRECALCULUS) information. Each step is then thoroughly explained, while allowing for feedback from the student, in multiple, easy-to-understand ways before proceeding with either the student's resources or mine. NATURALLY, NUMEROUS EXAMPLES TO ILLUSTRATE THE VARIOUS CHEMISTRY AND MATH CONCEPTS ARE PROVIDED. As a result, what is repeatedly heard from both my auditory and visual learners is 'THAT MAKES SENSE", since now they see how all important concepts are linked together. Overall, positive impacts are made that affect critical-thinking and other skills both immediately and over the long-term, especially for STEM and health/medically-directed individuals.

I tutor ALL levels of High School Chemistry and am particularly adept with the pre-AP and AP levels. I am a particularly valuable and unique asset for those who are contemplating careers in the MEDICAL FIELD. Therefore, TO DERIVE THE MAXIMUM BENEFIT FROM PARTNERING WITH ME, START A LONG-TERM ASSOCIATION BY BEGINNING IN HIGH SCHOOL (OR EARLIER) WITH THE MATHS OPTIONALLY PAIRED WITH CHEMISTRY AND CONTINUING WITH COLLEGE-LEVEL GENERAL CHEMISTRY AND EVEN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY.
