Experience Summary
Currently, I am a JD/Ph.D. student. I am in my last year of law school and my fourth year of my Ph.D. My primary interest is in helping with the LSAT, law school studies, legal writing, exam preparation and overall GPA improvement. My best subjects are criminal law, criminal procedure, evidence, civil procedure, torts, contracts, and all forms of alternative dispute resolution: mediation, facilitation, arbitration. Additionally, administrative law, securities regulation, banking law and legal writing are my strong suit.
However, I am a lifelong student and I have tutored since I was 15 years old. The areas I have been successful in are in reading, writing, science and math. I was an Honors student, in AP classes and college classes while still in high school, entering college as a second semester freshman. In college, I went on a partial scholarship, was on the debate team, was in Air Force ROTC, on the Dean's List, and my grades are excellent in all of my graduate level work.
I am the recipient of the Rebecca Knox Fellowship and a member of the President's 64 at Nova. I am a Lexis Nexis and PMBR representative and President of Criminal Law Society at Nova. I have worked with Legal Aid two years in a row in Veteran's Affairs and the Children's Dependency Project, and I have been a teaching assistant two years in a row in my Ph.D. program, which is based in conflict resolution and dispute management.
I have familiarity with and can help students prepare for a myriad of tests and licensing exams (ACT/SAT, ASVAB, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, Series 7, Series 63, etc.) I can assist with private school testing, boarding school admissions, college planning/advising (State and Ivy League schools), preparation of college/graduate school entrance applications and career path preparation and planning, as well as scholarship, fellowship and grant applications and editing of Ph.D. course level work and dissertations.
Finally, I am very familiar with gifted testing and specifically with the requirements in Palm Beach County. While I am not a licensed healthcare specialist, I can help you navigate the system to make sure your child performs at their best and can help you understand working memory, processing speed and other gifted indicators and help you work with your child to improve those neuro-cognitive areas for yourself or your child.
