About Me

Experience Summary

I have many years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer and Management Consultant applying Excel, Power Point, Word, Access and Visual Basic to analyze data and prepare Management Reports in areas such as Procurement, Inventories, Manufacturing, MRP, Standard Cost, Sales and Distribution. I have used VBA to build Macros and Applications, and Visual Web Developer to create simple web sites. One of my last projects was to use Excel Pivot Tables to analyze SAP queries. I am retired and my objective is to teach the use of computers at a personal and professional levels. At a personal, level my teaching centers on practical, day-to-day computer use. At a management level, I share my experience using computers to address business issues and to develop advanced applications of MS Office tools. Presently I am using MS Office 2010 and 2013, Windows 7 and 8.

Teaching Style

I found that personal tutoring in computer subjects is very effective because it concentrates only on the subjects that are important to the student, uses a PC or laptop specially set for him, proceeds at his own pace, has the teacher’s undivided attention and allows a flexible timetable. Learning about computers is a hand on experience.

My Hobbies

Rebuilding my 1964 VW Beetle. Reading. Bicycle riding. Classical music. Jogging.
