Experience Summary
My credentials include a Master’s Degree in General and Special Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Florida Educator’s eligible Professional Certificate covering Exceptional Student Education ( Grades K-12), a New York State Teaching Certificate in both General Education and Special Education grades 1-6, and 6-plus years teaching experience in the education field.
I have worked in numerous New York City public schools, in both Special and General Education settings, in inclusion classrooms, self contained classrooms, and in classrooms with handicapped students. I am also employed as an independent contractor for Corinthian Therapy where I work as a Special Educator and parent trainer. I have extensive experience working with various diverse groups of children including those with ADD/ADHD, autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, speech impairments, noncompliant behavior, learning disabilities, and physical challenges. Working with different populations of disabled children has helped me flourish into a well rounded and compassionate individual, who takes each student’s unique goals, needs, and interests into consideration when working with them.
