Experience Summary
I have been teaching Art and French in a private Homeschool Program for 18 years . My Art classes have included Drawing 1, Drawing 2, Painting, Combined media, and Advanced Portfolio Classes. I have taught younger children, starting at the age of 5 both Art and french as well as adults. In the program where I teach, I have primarily taught high school French levels 1-4. I lived outside of Lausanne Switzerland with a family that did not speak English when I was 17 and became fluent in French. I also studied French and Art while living in Paris, France my junior year of college. I lived with a French family and worked as their au pair . I also took classes at Ecole de Beaux Arts and Ecole do Louvre during this time. I have continued to speak i and teach French during most of my career as a teacher.

I love to help students realize their great potential by using their God given artistic talent and intellect to learn and grow.
My Hobbies
I am always working on a painting, usually by commission. I also love to play tennis, travel, and garden. I also work as a coach for a missionary organization called the World race.
Other Comments
I homeschooled my four children over 26 years who have gone on to have successful education at William and Mary(2), James Madison, and my youngest is at Va Tech where he is doing well.

I lived, studied and worked in both Switzerland and Paris, France where I became fluent.I have a BA degree in Fine Arts from Mount Holyoke College, minoring in French. I have also tutored privately in French and Art for years. I have had much success in helping students learn both writing/grammatical skills and speaking skills in French. |
