Experience Summary
I am a fourth year pharmacy student at the University of Texas College of Pharmacy and have a passion for science, mathematics, and healthcare, and enjoy teaching and interacting with students. My bachelor's degree is in finance, from UT Austin as well. My diverse educational background has helped me be proficient in various subjects and have the skills to tutor students of various ages and educational backgrounds.
I am a native Russian speaker and grew up in St.Petersburg, Russia. I can speak, read, and write and would love to help others learn this interesting language. I am interested in being a tutor because I enjoy interacting with other people.
I have worked as an independent tutor for four years. Previously, I worked for a year as a calculus/chemistry tutor at the University of Texas Learning Center, assisting students in private tutoring sessions as well as group study sessions. My experiences have given me excellent communication skills and improved my knowledge of the subject matter.
I have taken general chemistry, organic chemistry, and calculus while attaining my bachelor's degree. These classes, along with the advanced pharmacy classes I am currently taking, have prepared me to tutor the listed subjects.
Teaching Style
I tailor my teaching style to the needs of the particular student and ask for continuous feedback throughout the tutoring process to better accommodate the student. I like to motivate and build confidence in the student throughout the session, while still focusing on areas that need improvement.
My Hobbies
I enjoy staying active and being outdoors. I used to play tennis competitively in high school and now enjoy running and working out.
