• A Lead Instructor at Sun Microsystems for 14 years. Taught System Administration, Unix, Perl, Shell, and Java Programing
courses to in-house and customer students thought-out the world.
• Tutored 125+ students (9th Grade through College Seniors) during the last 7 years. Also tutored adults taking
courses from DeVry University and Heald College. Student grades went from a D to an A; and Calculus
AB / BC students earned 4s and 5s on AP Exams.
• Taught UNIX, Shell, and Perl Programming at UC Santa Cruz, Berkeley’s College Extension, De Anza
College).
• Develop customized plans and materials for each tutoring session, fitted to the student’s learning style, ensuring that
his and the parent’s desired objectives were met.
• 20 years in the U.S. Navy studying Nuclear Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Satellite
Communications. Putting its knowledge into practice onboard 6 different Nuclear Power Submarines.
Also taught Satellite Communication courses when stationed at San Diego's Naval School Command.
Teaching Style
It depends on the student's knowledge and what they want to gain.
This can vary but I will very supportive and do what is necessary to
improve the student's grade.
My Hobbies
Solving math problems, playing Sudoku, and Reading.
