Experience Summary
Hello all, or should I say Bonjour tout le monde! I have been studying French for eight plus years now, and in that time I have been blessed to travel to such places as France and Morocco. French: the language, the culture and everything in between is truly a passion of mine. However, I originally wanted to go to college for an English degree with an emphasis in creative writing, therefore my English skills are excellent. Not only have I never received below a B in any English class, but I have received accolades for my writing such as my first pick at parking spots in high school and being able to opt out of advanced English courses in college. Also, since I am still currently a student my English skills are still being finely polished. I am a few credit hours away from a Bachelor's degree in French and am currently studying Nursing. Teaching Style
For languages repetition is key; I have found personally that flash cards help tremendously. However, being an auditory learner in a very visual based school system I have faced challenges and therefore want to find the teaching style that will help my students the most.
My Hobbies
Music is a big passion of mine, it gets my creative juices flowing for my other hobby of creative writing and it also makes studying long hours for nursing easier. Also, since I am a nursing student I value my sleep :).
Other Comments
I never want anyone to feel stupid in a class or feel like they are the only person in a room who doesn't understand. I felt that way for the longest time in my French classes and look at me now, I am close to receiving a Bachelor's in it, anything is possible! My goal is that my students will no longer dread a course they once did and may even come to love it.
