Experience Summary
I have been tutoring for the Physics Department at IUPUI since the opening of the Physics Learning Center (last year) and I have been a private tutor for over a year. I also tutored elementary school students in math and english. As far as education, I will have my bachelor's degree in Physics, and I plan on attending graduate school to study biophysics. I have taken an extensive amount of chemistry courses as well, but it was not my main area of focus. Along with physics, I have taken plenty of calculus courses and am well suited to tutor in algebra and geometry as well.
Teaching Style
I like to introduce notes over concepts and practice problems if the student is interested, instead of just brute memorization (or me doing the homework for the student). I think it is important to understand the concepts before trying to teach the student how to solve a bunch of equations.
My Hobbies
Outside of tutoring and school, I stay active by running and doing yoga. I also like to travel and spend time with my family.
