Experience Summary
Itaught two different schools for the Deaf, one in Maine and one in Fremont, CA for 46 years. Then I was an Americn Sign Language teacher at Delta College in the year of 2011. Last year, I was a full time ASL teacher at the Valley Christian High School in Dublin. And now I am an ASL teacher at Los Medanos College in Brentwood. I am very experienced with ASL as I am Deaf but can speak and read lips very well.
Teaching has always been my passion and I enjoy working with people of all ages very much. I have a Master's degree plus 15 units from University of Maine, Portland-Gorham after I graduated from Gallaudet Unversity in Washington D.C. I also taught Baby Talk with hearing parents who have hearing babies and toddlers at the Livermore Lawrence Lab for 8 weeks. Another ASL class I taught was at Quail Lakes Baptist Church in Stockton.
My Hobbies
I am an animal lover and raise certain breeds of dogs, Labradoodles, AKC Boston Terriers and AKC Yorkshire Terrers.
