Experience Summary
Since the 2007-2008 school year, I have been a 4th grade math and language arts teacher in a public school. My classroom was an inclusion classroom that serviced students who performed at grade-level and students who were on IEPs (Individualized Education Plans).I also teach Sunday School for 7th and 8th grade girls at my home church and genuinely enjoy educating young people.
Teaching Style
I find that hands-on activities are incredibly helpful when teaching. I emphasize to my students that everybody's brains work uniquely. Some people are visual, others audial, and others are kinesthetic (hands-on). I encourage my students to try various methods of math concepts and stick with the way they understand easiest.
My Hobbies
I sing in my church's praise band. I am a Sunday school teacher for 7th and 8th grade girls. I enjoy theater, musicals and reading.
