Experience Summary
As a 1992 and a 2007 graduate of University of Central Missouri, I have earned the certification to teach birth through 12th grade. My actual teaching experience is in both suburban and urban school districts.
At the present time I am teaching "at risk" high school children. With an emphasis in Child Development in my bachelor degree, I currently teach two full year classes in this subject. This position enables me to provide these students with a "head start" in mastering real life skills. I have successfully educated students in the fields of Family and Consumer Science, Clothing I & II, Family Relations, Child Development, Housing and Powers, as well as conducted and organized FCCLA club for my current employer. I am challenged to be creative, nurturing, positive, and most of all, patient.
I feel that my previous teaching, fundraising and counseling positions in the high school settings have given me the experience to oversee and manage others in any situation. Not only to examine and analyze the concepts being taught, but to help students recognize the importance and well being instilled in children to better society. Also, my mastered skills with negotiation, patience, communication, excellent listening skills and ability to work well with others will add to my perfect fit with your student or child.
It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher. I believe I will make a positive contribution toward successful tutoring.
