About Me

Experience Summary

I have been a private tutor with consistent 5 star reviews for 2 years in the areas of math, science, and standardized test preparation. After graduating, I was a researcher at the University of Notre Dame and was responsible for teaching graduate students molecular biology and cell culture techniques, as well as designing and managing the summer projects of REU students.

Teaching Style

I keep the atmosphere friendly, fun and low pressure. I'm very patient. I have a flexible teaching style that I can adapt to your needs. Do you want to truly master your subject? No problem! Do you need to get your grade and pass your class so you can get on with what you're really interested in? Also not a problem. If you need lessons for an academic math or science course, we will start by identifying gaps in your understanding of the key principles and skills that underlie the subject. Believe it or not, math and science can be easy with the proper focus. People tend to get lost in the details, but everything looks simpler when the details become just different ways to apply key concepts. Feedback from my students indicates that my instruction consistently exceeds commercial test preparation courses because I can meet you exactly where you're at, rather than being bound by a fixed lesson plan. This means that you will get extra support for your weak spots, and won't have to waste time and money going over things that you are already comfortable with.

My Hobbies

I study judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and when my schedule can afford it, I'm a nerdy gamer.
