Experience Summary
Throughout my years of teaching, I have witnessed and helped assist in new and exciting educational program implementation in day-cares and school systems. With my real world and in class learning I have realized the importance children’s primary academic instruction plays in their growth and development. I find it fortunate that I have had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students, including those with learning disabilities, those who performed at grade level, and those who were exceptional. These opportunities have helped build my classroom management abilities and communication skills. My philosophy of education has been centered on differentiated instruction and the importance of individual learning styles and effective evaluative measurements. From March 1st, 2010 till June 30th, 2011 I have had the opportunity to be both a full time grade one and grade four teacher at Meadow Green Academy. My year and a half experience there served to reinforce my passion for education. I also taught at the Educational REC Center as a kindergarten teacher for one full-year and a part-time music and sign language instructor for five years. I thrive in a team environment and enjoy the successes that come from collaborative effect. My goal as a teacher is to achieve student enrichment by providing a stimulating learning environment that fosters confidence and encourages children in asserting their inner strengths and abilities.
My Hobbies
I enjoy singing, traveling, and playing volleyball.
