Experience Summary
While I was a Rotary Exchange Student – South Africa | 1999-2000, I volunteered to tutor students of various ages every subject, except Afrikaans, and was very pleased with their progress, and enjoyed it. I excel in the Arts (Creative, and Graphic), English, Statistics, French, Social Studies, Reading/Writing (especially essay) and would be best for college prep (Highschool ages grades 9-12), as well as Creative Arts for all ages. Please see my profile for everything I feel confident to be at expert level of. I am confident I could dramatically improve any student's writing skills as well as their art abilities.
Teaching Style
I adjust to the learner and speak their language, establish rapport through mutual respect, and try and make it as fun as possible.
My Hobbies
Travel, painting, crosswords, scrabble, political campaigning, freelance design and copy-writing, biking, skiing, hiking, and golfing.
Other Comments
I also make a very decent golf instructor for beginners.

Advanced Placement art, Junior and Senior year, with a 5 on both portfolios. Continued in art clubs while at the University of Michigan, although I was accepted to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I opted to "go blue!" for a liberal arts education. Art continued to be my life, and as soon as I was hired at Blackboard Inc. in 2003, I taught myself the entire Adobe Creative Suite, and have been a graphic designer for 10 years. As well as multi-media artist, and tutor/instructor. |
