Experience Summary
Columbus Public Schools 1987-1997: During this time period, I taught at the high school, middle school, and elementary level. I then left formal education to stay home with my children. While at home raising my daughters, I did home tutoring from 1989-2006. I then returned to teaching by doing home instruction for Bloom-Carroll (2003-2004)and Fairfield Union (2005). I then did two long-term subbing jobs at Pickerington HS North and Lakeview Junior High School in Pickerington for Intervention Specialists (2006 & 2007). The following school year I was hired by Lancaster Thomas Ewing for a teacher that retired in October to finish out the school year. The following year, I was again hired by Pickerington HS North. I remained there from 2008-2011. In all of my years of teaching, I have taught HS- English 9, World History, American History, Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology B, and Astronomy. Some of these courses were resource and some were both resource and inclusion. At the MS level, I have taught- Health, Math courses, English courses, World History 6 & 7, American History, and Sciences. At the elementary level, I have taught- resource Math, Reading, and Writing. I have tutored students in all core subjects. I have worked with a hearing impaired student while tutoring at BCHS.
Teaching Style
Due to my special education training, I am able to determine a student's learning style and teach to their strength. I also like to educate students about the different learning styles and make them aware of their learning strengths.
My Hobbies
I am very involved in sports with my daughters.

I have taught at every level of education and have taught a variety of subjects. This makes me an excellent person to hire as a tutor.
