Experience Summary
After receiving my teaching certificate in 2001, I worked with fourth and second graders in Clayton County Public Schools as a classroom teacher. For a total of six years, I taught students in grades K-5, trained teachers to use technology, and served as the webmaster. After working in Clayton County Public Schools, I worked in Dekalb County Public School System as a classroom teacher. There, I worked with fourth graders to meet Georgia Performance Standards in all subject areas. I also was the trainer and webmaster for the school. As a former graduate student of Educational Technology, and a recipient of an Ed.S. and M.Ed. in Educational Technology, I was excited about having access to tools that I had found helped students learn. As a former tutor of Sylvan Learning Center, I have worked with students to assist them in learning skills that will help them become successful. I have worked as a diagnostician as well, to assess student needs. As a Georgia licensed and certified teacher, I have experience working with students to perfect study habits and skills.
