Experience Summary
I am a 30+ years of teaching with special needs students. I am currently working with FCBDD in a collaborative unit of primary students. I received my Masters last spring in 2011 for Curriculum and Instruction/Reading. I worked with under privileged students this summer on reading and I have been tutoring an autistic child privately for 2 years. My goal is to work with students that need extra help with reading, spelling, and vocabulary. I will also work with special needs students improving their socialization and basic skills as needed.
Teaching Style
I will do small group or 1:1 tutoring. I prefer hands on learning with students and may use a variety of flash cards, computer related activites and help with homework support related to area we are working on.
My Hobbies
I like to read, walk, ride a bike and scrapbook in my sparetime.
