Experience Summary
I worked as a Math and English Tutor through the after school No Child Left Behind program. I was responsible for reporting to the lead teacher, reporting to parents, generating study materials and lesson plans to help under achieving students develop skills to improve school grades. I am working on my Bachelor degree through Baker college and need six more courses to complete that degree. I carry a present 3.7 grade point average and I am very well versed in computers, English and Math.
Teaching Style
I enjoy tutoring students of all grade levels. One of the most rewarding opportunities I had was to hold a position as a Boy Scout Leader and also my position as a High School Math and English tutor. I believe in teaching techniques that focus on what type of learner the student is. I adjust my teaching style according to what is necessary to help each particular student grasp ideas and concepts according to what works best for that student. I find it extremly rewarding to see a student reach a confidence level that shows they have mastered a topic that I have worked with them on.
