Experience Summary
I’m a 2007 Masters graduate in Communication, concentrating in OD and interpersonal communication. As a paralegal I trained business people about legal topics and legal people about how to do their job. As an instructor for Princeton Review I worked with a world class test prep course. As a sub in Montgomery County MD I was a preferred choice of Reading and Social Studies teachers in the schools I served. I developed the session program for the 2006 Florida Government Technology Conference and observed the distance learning operations at FSU. I'm currently developing an awareness program for Middle Schools that will highlight the important connections between nature, food, and population and the choices we make each day.
Teaching Style
I teach in the hope that students will discover the wonders of knowledge for themselves and take that experience with them wherever they go. I use analogy and humor to give insight and make facts interesting. I relate to people by understanding what matters to them. I build interpersonal rapport as a counselor would, but discipline people's minds and behaviors when necessary. I encourage people to follow their joys and work to improve their lives passionately.
