Experience Summary
Having obtained a Masters Degree in Comparative Literature I have learned to best mold my teaching methodologies into the educational needs of my students. I have taught freshman German at the college level as well as have extensive experience tutoring while I worked at the University of South Carolina. Finally do to my various educational background (I have studied everything from literature to biochemistry) I am qualified to tutor in a wide variety of subjects having attended a math and science magnet school in south carolina for high school. At this school I was required to take upper level math each semester and college level physics, biology and chemistry.
Teaching Style
I believe in teaching through doing. When I taught German I conducted my class almost completely in German (the beginner level), and while this would seem difficult for the students to learn my students scored excellently on their tests. With enough support that they are capable of doing it and flexibility on the side of the teacher, a student can achieve whatever their goals may be, without having the bored of memorization.
