Experience Summary
As a honors graduate, I have always loved sharing knowledge with others. I have worked hard and earned the distinction as an affable and thorough teacher and tutor. Throughout undergrad, I tutored grades 3-6 in Math, Science, and Writing at F.L. Stanton Elementary in Atlanta, GA. Upon graduating, propelled by wanderlust I ended up teaching English to Japanese students, 0-45 years, in Japan for three years. All of my students showed progress and a genuine appreciation for the materials. Having secured a BS in Chemistry my experience with Math and Science vast. Now, in graduate school as a MS BioStatistics candidate, I tutor Chemistry, Biology, and all levels of Math.
Teaching Style
I never thought about teaching, but as the oldest girl of 15 grandchildren I have been teaching someone something my whole life. I believe in positive reinforcement and repetition. Each person has their own learning style. You just have to find it. Nothing is too hard for anyone to comprehend. You must believe in yourself, once you do that, you can do anything whether you like it or not.
