Experience Summary
I provided tutoring services in high school and college, thus gained much valuable experience. As such, the most popular question I received during university was "Why are you not an engineering major?" Through earning four BBA degrees in various areas of Accounting/Finance/IT in 3 years, I learned my area of excellence lies in logical material: mathematics, physics, programming, music, and others. The only exceptions are my BBA focus (primarily relying on memorization) and English: a well written essay is equivalent to the works of Mozart. Additionally, university was very enjoyable because I was always surrounded by others and sought after because of my ease of understanding and my explanations were easily understood.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very flexible to accommodate different needs and understandings. I first probe to find inadequacies in the student’s knowledge, then present the material in an easy to understand manner primarily focusing on the student’s weak areas. My patience and easy going attitude greatly help tutoring sessions because the student does not feel reprimanded, but rather encouraged through the frustration and mistakes to achieve a greater understanding. My inspiration for tutoring/teaching is pride in my student: there is no greater joy than seeing him/her succeed.
