Experience Summary
10 years of teaching on the elementary school through college level. My specialties are English spelling and grammar as well as creative writing and composition. I've been a working journalist for 40 years and so am supremely well versed in and qualified to tutor young people on English grammar, spelling, creative writing and -- of course -- journalism for those especially inclined to pursue a career in publishing.
Teaching Style
I am totally sympathetic with the goals and wishes of young people who want to excel as communicators. South Carolina schools are terribly derelect in the teaching of proper English grammar and syntax, I believe, and so I am especially motivated to do everything I can to help youngsters who like to write and want to improve their writing skills. The same goes for public speaking. I am eager to aid those who want to become accomplished speakers, as I am to help guide youth on the road to becoming gifted writers.
