Experience Summary
Hello, I am a graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, as well as a minor in Business. Receiving a top-notch education from an accredited university, allowed me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. I scored a 5 on AP Calculus in high school and ranked 12 out of 496 students. Back in high school, math and science homework were never a chore, rather i enjoyed doing it. This also allowed me to better my skill set at the university. I have learned essential skills in other areas as well including writing research papers, faster reading skills, and better note-taking skills. I have been an elementary tutor in the past and I am very patient when it comes to teaching.
Teaching Style
Teaching, for me, is very therapeutic. I love working with children of all ages. I am very flexible and patient when it comes to tutoring students. With me, a genuine effort to learn goes a long way. My goal is to make difficult concepts easy to understand via visual representation. I am a hard worker and put effort to plan ahead and making my tutoring session very efficient. If for some reason, i do not understand a concept during a session, i will make it my priority to get back with a swift response.
