Experience Summary
I earned an undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and a Master's degree in Special Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I taught for the Priceton City Schools district in Cincinnati for 31 years.I taught mostly middle school in the areas of math and special education. I taught remedial math with our alternative school for "at risk" students.
I also taught classroom management classes and special education classes for the Education Department of Xavier University.
I worked part-time after I retired for a charter school company in charge of academic performance.
Teaching Style
I believe all students can learn. We have to meet our students at their learning level and interest level. When we teach our students above their learning abilities it creates frustration and poor self-image.
I believe students should be offered choices in their education to give them ownership of the learning process.
