Experience Summary
I have been a public school teacher for seven years. I taught for four years at a middle school and three years at the elementary school level. I have a highly qualified license in the three following areas: Elementary Education, English as a Second Language K-12 and English 6-9. I will receive a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Western Carolina University in the spring of 2010. In addition to my years of service, I am very proud of the awards that I earned for my school and classroom while teaching in a California.
Teaching Style
I am a Spanish speaker and try very hard to create positive relationships with the Hispanic population at the schools in which I have worked. I am an enthusiastic creative teacher. I truly love teaching. I know that this was my calling in life. I am passionate about helping students become excited about their education and developing a positive sense of self. I believe that a well-balanced education can influence all aspects of a child’s life. This belief drives me to work diligently at helping all of my students become well-educated, productive members of society.
