Experience Summary
While holding certification in three varied subjects, I feel that my strengths lie in teaching transferability of acquired skills. Having a bachelor degree in an educational field, an MBA, and 8 years of various "real world" experience that includes both retail and project management gives me an advantage when teaching. While in college and afterwards, I built a studio of music students that placed in the top two seats in Florida All-State bands, various regional student orchestras, and All-County bands. Though I am teaching math now, I still strive to instill the same passion in my students to achieve.
Teaching Style
Essentially my teaching style is goal oriented. I motivate students to build skills that are not only applicable short-term, but well into the future as well. These concepts are reinforced by applying skills to realistic situations and problem solving. In this way, my students will be able to leverage skills that they have acquired in myriad areas of interest to ensure their success.
