Experience Summary
After getting my bachelor's degree in liberal studies, with a focus in Communications and Marketing, I found myself wanting more. I became certified in Elementary Education K-6 and began teaching first grade. In addition, I have a high school aged brother that is homeschooled. He at times needs help with his studies and I tutor him in Math, Science and English at home.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is energetic and over the top. I like to think back to when I was in school and the subjects that stuck out to me, and why. It was because I was having fun learning, and that is how I try to approach each of my lessons. I relate them to real world situations if possible and try to put a personal spin on my lessons. What would make this lesson relative to the person who is trying to learn it? Children are so wonderful to be around and the smile they put on my face when they have grasped a new concept is priceless.
