Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of Central Florida top of my class in a science major, with a 4.0 average. I started tutoring about half-way through my first year and continued until I graduated. I was an assistant teacher for Organic Chemistry II, and did an exceptional job tutoring that course. Throughout the years I have tutored in a variety of subjects, over 20, mostly science courses. I am comfortable and familiar in either the classroom or a laboratory setting. I am very good at determining how people learn things and will adapt my teaching strategy on a continious basis, depending on the demands of the student. Major subjects I have experience in are Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Molec. Cell Biology, Population Biology, Ecology, Histology.....pretty much anything that has to do with biology or a related science.
Teaching Style
I am very good at determining how a particular student learns. What they are strong in and weak at...such as spatial ability, objective learning, basic memorization, mathmematically inclined, visual student or listener. I will try different angles on any particular subject matter until I see that they are getting it and then just continue with what works. I always encourage and never criticize, very patient yet persistant.
