Teaching Style
No matter what field I have worked in over the years, I have always made teaching a component of what I do. I love teaching children. It is a challenge to engage them in the process. I adapt my style to each child's needs and personality. Although I set boundaries, I am not comfortable with being a stern taskmaster. I always try to engage the child by listening to his or her concerns and anxiety. I find that once the student feels that you are interested in him or her as an individual, they are much more responsive to the efforts we can make together to help them with their school work.
